Béchamel sauce
Ingredients
- 1ltr Milk
- 100g Whirl
- 100g Flour
Method
- Melt the whirl in a thick bottom pan.
- Add the flour & mix in.
- Cook for a few minutes over a gentle heat without colouring. ( not sticking to sides
- Gradually add pre warmed milk & stir to smooth, ( slowly add a bit of milk at a time )
- Remove from the heat & strain.
- Add a little layer of Oil on the top to stop a skin forming.
