Béchamel sauce

Method

  1. Melt the whirl in a thick bottom pan.
  2. Add the flour & mix in.
  3. Cook for a few minutes over a gentle heat without colouring. ( not sticking to sides
  4. Gradually add pre warmed milk & stir to smooth, ( slowly add a bit of milk at a time )
  5. Remove from the heat & strain.
  6. Add a little layer of Oil on the top to stop a skin forming.
